48 square pieces of side 20cm each cut out from a rectangular metal sheet of length 160cm.what is breadth of the rectangular metal sheet?

Answer 1

From a length of 160 cm we can cut 8 lengths of 20cm each.

If we have 48 total then we cut 6 rows of 8 pieces each out of

the original metal sheet.

 

Length = 8 at 20 cm each = 160 cm

Width = 6 at 20 cm = 120 cm

 

Area of original sheet is 160(120) = 192,000 cm²
