find f(-1) and f(2)

 

f(x)=5x^4-3x+7

Victoria, you simply need to replace x in the function f(x) with the specified number. For example, 

 

f(-1) = 5 * (-1)⁴ - 3(-1) + 7

 

= 5(1) + 3 + 7

 

= 5 + 3 + 7

 

= 8 + 7 

 

= 15

 

Do you think that you can evaluate f(2) using the above as a guide?
