What you need to do is turn the mixed fractions into improper fractions and multiply by the reciprocal.
11 2/3 becomes 35/3
2 5/6 becomes 17/6
so the problem becomes:
35/3 by 17/6
when you multiply by the reciprocal you get
35/3 * 6/17
cross cancel the 3 and 6 you get
35/1 * 2/17 = 70/17
when you reduce the improper fraction you get:
4 2/17 which is the anwer Micah got.
to check it you could multiply
4 2/17 * 2 5/6
which becomes
70/17 * 17/6
after cross canceling = 70/6 which reduces to 11 2/3
Therefore proving that the anwer is correct.
