HELP? GLADLY:
1. distribute the -5 into the parenthesized expression on left side, i.e. you get -5x - 45
2. SIMILARLY distribute on the right side.
3. now, as usual, collect 'LIKE' terms--your goal is to get all of the x type terms on one side, and a constant on the right.
4. divide both sides by the coefficient of x; take care if you have a negative divided by another negative--that will get a positive result.
These procedures must be mastered because there's a lot of Algebra ahead of you in your school life.
