If w(x) = 4x² +5x -5 and g(x) =-2x² -20x +20, find all real x values such that w(x) = g(x).

4x²+5x-5=2x²-20x+20

2x²+25x-25=0 [ax²+bx+c=0], then solutions for x, x=[-b+-sqroot(b²-4ac)]/2a

 

With a=2, b=25, c=-25, we find 2 values of x

x₁= 0.93, x₂= -13.4, are the 2 real values of x
