What exactly do you wish to do? Locate the number between two integers. I can help you a little, but I do not know if it will be enough.
Remember that √16 = 4 and √25 = 5. Since 18.3 is between 16 and 25, √18.3 will lie between 4 and 5. If all you need is to mark the number on a number line, you could place a dot between 4 and 5. If you need more precision (locate it more accurately), you will need to reply back with more instructions.

Does this mean you are trying to construct the number using a ruler and compass? The exact location will be impossible to locate using just a decimal expansion as the number is irrational. Please let me know exactly what your last reply means. I want to help you without having to send messages back and forth too many times.
