First find the slope:
rise 22 - 6 = 16 = 2
run 8 - 0 8
Then substitute the x,y points and b (slope) to find the y-intercept
I'm going to use the point (0,6)
y = m x + b
6 = (2)(0) + b
6 = 0 + b
6 = b
Now you plug in your slope (m) and y-intercept (b) in the formula:
y = mx + b
y = 2x + 6 This is your answer
