The x and y components of vector P have Numerical values 6 and 6 respectively and that of (P vector + Q vector) have Numerical values 10 and 9. What are the Numerical values of X and y components of vector Q?

When you add vectors, you add the x components and you add the y components.

 

If P and Q are added to get P+Q, then:

 

6 + x = 10  and 6 + y = 9.

 

Solving these equations gives you: x = 4 and y = 3.  So Q is <4, 3>
