let the angle = pi/6, sin(pi/6) = 1/2
tan(pi/6) = 1/sqr3
sin^2(pi/4) = 1/4, tan^2(pi/4) = 1/3
(1/4 - 1)/(1/3-1) = (1/(1/4-1)) -1
-3/4)/(-2/3) = -4/3 -1
-3/4 x -3/2 = -7/3
-9/8 doesn't equal -7/3
one counterexample disproves the "identity"
