if one person has 13.25  items one person has 3.75 items one person has 3.25 items, and one person has 5.75 items and the invoice is for 10034.86 how much would they each pay

What I would do from that point is round
the per item cost to $385.96
 
13.25(385.96) = $5,113.97
3.75(385.96) = $1,447.35
3.25(385.96) = $1,254.37
5.75(385.96) = $2,219.27
                       _________
                       10,034.96
 
This gives ten cents too much paid so take $.02
off of two persons total and $.03 off of the other 2.

 

You can split that 10cents however you want but

I would take 3 cents each off the highest 2 totals and

2 cents each off the other 2.

26 items were purchased for $10,034.86.

Each item cost $10034.86/26, or $385.956154.

 

Is the total on the invoice correct?
