Given: The approximate value of "pi" is 3.14
           The true value of "pi" is 3.14156

Find: The absolute, relative and percentage errors 


Solution:

Absolute error Δx = | True value - Approximate value |
                      Δx = |3.14156 - 3.14| = 0.0056

Relative error = Δx / (True value) = 0.0056 / 3.14156 ≈ 0.00178255389 

Percentage error = Relative error * 100% = 0.178255389 %
