Hi Brenden;
FIRST...Make certain that you understand exactly what the instructor wants you to know for the exam. Do not be afraid to ask questions either in class or privately. The more questions you ask, the less likely you are to fail. Furthermore, as a supervisor explained to me recently, "The only stupid questions are the ones which are never asked."
SECOND...Practice the procedures at issue. For example, if the instructor wants you to factor equations for the exam, then factor, factor, and factor some more. If the instructor wants you to understand linear equations, then execute as many as possible.
THIRD...Review material you think you already know. I often gain more from a lesson the second time, than the first.
FOURTH...Get plenty of sleep the night before. You may want to be the hero and study all night, then enter the classroom with deep circles under your eyes. Heroes do not pass exams.
FIFTH...Do not eat any new foods before the exam. Your parents may encourage you to try something different. This is not the time. You may have reactions you have no previously knowledge of.
SIXTH...Do not take the exam if you are sick. Do not be the hero and go to school sneezing, coughing and wheezing. When the failed exam is handed back to you, it will appear as though a different person took the test---because a different person did.
SEVENTH...MOST IMPORTANT...MOST IMPORTANT...MOST IMPORTANT...
Ask as many Wyzant questions on the Answers page as possible. Even if you already know the answers, it may help to have such verified.
