Find a nonzero matrix?

Find a nonzero matrix A for which A^2=0.
 
Please help me with steps. Thanks.

Trial and error. I started with the zero-matrix and then checked where I can put something non-zero so that A² is still the zero-matrix.
A more systematic approach would be to start with a general 2x2 matrix, A=[[a,b],[c,d]], the square it, set A²=0, and see what conditions you get for a, b, c, and d. You find that the diagonal elements a=d=0, and bc=0, so only one off-diagonal element can be non-zero.
