The volume of a rectangular prism is 450 in³ and its surface area is 390 in². The height of this figure is 2¹/₂ times that of its length, and the width is ¹/₃ its height. What are the dimensions of this figure in inches?

L represents the length

2.5L represents the height

(1/3)(2.5)L represents the width

 

(1/3)(2.5)(2.5)L³ =450

(2.5)(2.5)L³ = 1350           multiply both sides by 3

6.25L³ = 1350                   multiply

L³ = 216                           divide both sides by 6.25

L= 6                                  cube root of both sides

 

You can calculate the height and the width.
