the b for the formula y=mx+b of the equation y=2/3*x + 6 is b=6.  That's the y-intercept.

y-intercept form is:  y = mx + b

given:  y = (-2/3)x + 6

so, m = -2/3 and b = 6

so y-intercept is (0, 6)
