A shift to the right or left changes the x coordinate by that amount. Add if to the right, subtract if to the left. A shift up or down changes the y-coordinate. Add for up, subtract for down. Starting from the point (7,2), a shift of 4 units to the right adds 4 to the 7. The shift of 2 units down, subtracts 2 from the 2. The new point will be located at:
(7+4, 2-2) = (11,0)
