The length of the side of the square is 3x+5
The area of the square is the side squared ... (3x + 5)2
The perimeter of the square is 4 times a side ... 4(3x+5)
AREA - PERIMETER
= (3x + 5)2 - 4(3x + 5)
= (3x + 5)(3x + 5) - 12x - 20
= 9x2 + 15x + 15x - 12x - 20
= 9x2 + 18x - 20
