Probability to win tennis match against Anna in a week, when Tom wins 55% matches against Anna over the year

Hello, 

Shouldn't the probability of Tom winning tennis matches against Anna stay the same within a week like within a year? Because if I'd divide the probability 0.55 by 52 weeks, I'd get a probability of about 0.01 something, which doesn't make sense, as that would mean Annas probability to win over the week would be 0.99 which doesn't add up to 0.45 within a year.

Probability = (number of successful outcomes) / (total number of outcomes)

 

If Tom wins 55% of his matches against Anna over the year, the expected value probability of winning a math with Anna in a week is 55% -- unless, of course, there are some other factors, like illness, new skills, etc.

 

So, when you say, "Stay the same," that means that it is still 55%.
