Solving inequalities

Rosa can clean a house in 7 hours. When Rosa and Amy work together, they can clean a house in about 4.2 hours. About how long will it take Amy to clean a house if she works by herself?

To find out how long it takes Amy to clean the house you need to multiply the amount of time they can do it together by 2 and then subtract Rosa's time. The equation looks like this:  x = 2(4.2) - 7.  8.4 - 7 = 1.4 hours

if it takes them 4.2 hours to clean the house together there is no way one person could do it in 1.4 hours correct? Wouldn't it take Amy longer than 4.2 hours especially since it takes Rosa 7?
