Since you want E(x) you integrate both pieces and add:
∫x(-x/10)dx from -2 to 0 and add ∫x(x/10)dx from 0 to 4.
e.g integrating (-x2)/10 gives -x3/30 from -2 to 0 = [0 - (8/30)] =-8/30
now integrate second piece and add.
