The slope will be [7 - (-2)]/[-3 - (-4)] = (7+2)/(-3+4) = 9/1 = 9

 

You can use either point to generate a point slope equation.

 

(y - 7) = 9[x - (-3)]

(y - 7) = 9(x + 3)

 

will do.

 

 

So will,

 

[y - (-2)] = 9[x - (-4)]

y + 2 = 9(x + 4)

 

 

both are equivalent to y = 9x + 34 in slope-intercept form
