The area of a rectangle is 42 square inches. The length is 7 inches. What is the perimeter of the rectangle?

the formula for the area of a rectagle is (length × width)... in this case  (length × width) = 42

if the length is 7... then what # times 7 = 42? The width has to 6.

 

to find the perimeter... (2 × length ) + (2 × width) = Perimeter

OR

length + length + width + width = perimeter

7 + 7 + 6 + 6 = ?
