Hello Tori, Here we can use Two Formulas: The Sin function and Pythagoras theorem .
Sin = opp Pythagoras= a^2 +b^2 +c^2
____
hyp
Sin (80) = A
___
10
0.98 = A
____
10
A= (0.98) (10)
A= 9.8 Now use the theorem.
a^2 +b^2 =c^2 Now rewrite as:
b^2 = a^2 +c^2
b^2 = (9.8^2 +(10)^2
b^2 = 96.04 +100
b^2 = 196.04
b = SQRT (196.04)
b= 14.00
A=- 9.8
B= 14.00
C= 10
Hope this helps!
