This line does have a slope all you need to do is put this equation into standard form

 

Y = X - 5

 

 Remember our standard form

Y = MX + B as a slope of M.

 

So our slope in this case is 1.

Put the equation into the slope-intercept form, y = mx+b.  m is the slope.

 

y-x = -5

 

Add x to both sides:

 

y = x - 5

 

The coefficient of x is one; so the slope is m=1.
