Probability of winning a laptop?

There is going to be a raffle in the College of Engineering and Computer Science. They are going to give away one prize. It will
be either a coffee mug, and old mouse, or a brand new Alienware Laptop.
The raffle works like this. A single ticket is pulled randomly from a hat (or box). If it is your ticket, you can to spin a wheel with
the three prizes. You win the one it lands on.
If 54 people enter the raffle (including yourself), what are your chances of winning the laptop?

First part: draw a ticket.

since there are 54 tickets, and only one will be drawn, the chance of any one ticket will be 1 in 54, or 1/54 = 0.0185

 

Second part: spin the wheel.

assuming that the wheel has only 3 choices, then the laptop prize will be 1 in 3, or 1/3 = 0.333

 

Third part: combining the two gives us 0.0185 x 0.333 = 0.0062

 

Fourth part: converting the last number, we divide 1 by 0.0062 to get 1 in 162
