what is the product of two consecutive even integers 100 less than 50 times the largest

n represents first even integer

n + 2 represents the second even integer

 

n(n + 2) = 50(n + 2) - 100

n² + 2n = 50n + 100 - 100

n² + 2n = 50n

n² - 48n = 0

n(n - 48) = 0

 

n ∈ {0, 48}
