The consumer's surplus for a demand function p=70-2 square root x is illustrated on the graph. Find the consumer's surplus when the number of units is x=16. (Hint: area between 2 functions).

CS = 64

p = 70-2sqrx x=16, what is CS = Consumer Surplus?? 64

CS = area above p(16) = 70-2(sqr16 = 70-2(4) = 62

find the area bounded by p=16 x= 0 and p=70-2sqrx

Area = CS = 8(16)/2 = 64
