Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese or Hakka dialect) are simple and fun
-p + 10 = 2p + 16
10 - 16 = 2p + p
-6 = 3p
-2 = p

Dr. Robert can help you with Math and Science
We want to get p by itself on one side of the equal sign. We can add, subtract, multiply, and divide as long as we do it to both sides.
First, distribute the 2:
-p + 10 =2(p +8)
-p + 10 =2p + 16
Now add p to both sides to get rid of the p on the left.
-p + 10 +p = 2p + 16 +p
10 = 3p + 16
Subtract 16 from both sides.
10 - 16 = 3p + 16 - 16
-6 = 3p
Divide both sides by 3.
-6/3 = 3p/3
-2 = p
Hope that helps.
