I love math, and I love to teach it.
Dear Sydney,
The zero property product means the following: If A * B = 0, then A=0 or B=0, or all two of the variables are zero.
All you have to do is factor.
7X2 + 9X =0=Y Since both terms have an "X" factor out "X."
X(7X + 9)=0=Y X times 7X= 7X2 and X times 9= 9X
Then using the zero-product property just say the following: X= 0 or 7X+9=0. The 7X+9= 0 has to be solved for "X."
7X=-9 Then divide both sides by 7.
X= -9/7 X=0 solutions
0(7X+9)=0=y or X(((7/1)(-9/7)+9)=0 X(-9 +9)= X(0)=0
This finds out when Y =0, so you are finding the roots or solutions for this parabola, where it crosses the X-axis.
Coordinate points (0,0) and (-9/7,0)
If I helped you, please give me a thumbs up.
