A shorter way to look at this is to see by what factor each variable has changed.

workers went from 2 to 5 which is an... 5/2 = 2.5
workers increased by a factor of 2.5

Hours went from 8 to 10... 10/8 = 1.25
Hours in reased by a factor of 1.25

3 rooms increased by a factor of (2.5)(1.25)...
3(2.5)(1.25) = 9.375 rooms or 9 3/8 rooms
