when you convert 100 feet per second to inches per second will there be more or less than 100 inches? explain. this was in my math textbook. i looked at it like... wha? plz help.

one foot is equal to 12 inches

then 100 feet is equal to 12 * 100 = 1200 inches

 

Therefore 100 feet per second = 1200 inches per second.

 

   Another way to think about it is, since an inch is smaller than a foot, then if you go 100 feet per second, you would definitely go more than 100 inches per second.
