what proves that criminals have rights ?

i need arguments to prove that criminals do really have rights

The Bill of Rights and the additional amendments is what establishes the basic rights of each citizen of the United States. There is some debate about if those are extended to noncitizens but new case law is proving that the courts do consider that noncitizens are extended the same rights and privileges of citizens in this country.

If someone is a citizen of the United States, then they have all of the rights that the Constitution allows them. Being a criminal is irrelevant for almost all of the appointed rights. The only counter-example I can think of is that convicted felons are not allowed to vote nor are they allowed to purchase guns.

 

I suppose that the best way to *prove* that criminals have rights is to show why their rights cannot be taken away from them because they are accused of a crime.
