We use the quotient rule for this one.

 

{down * d[up] - up d[down]} / down^2

 

y' = [ (2+v²) (-2v) - (2 - v²) (2x)] / (2 +v²) ²

 

This simplifies to

 

-8v / (v⁴ +4v² + 4)

 

You can simplify it further if you wish
