This is a basic chain rule.

 

First take the derivative of tan

 

d/dt [tan(x)] = sec² (x)

 

Then chain rule it

 

d/dx {tan [(3t)^½ ]} = sec² (sqrt (3t) ) * d/dx [sqrt (3x)]
