Differentiate the function. y = 3e^x + 4/3sqrt x

Please help

I just realized that the keyboard has exponents, so I should have used them too. I thought the original equations was (4/3) x1/2  - but if it was (4/3) x-1/2 - then your solution is the one to go with:) Glad to see I didn't entirely forget calculus though.

I interpreted the problem to be
y=3e^x + 4/3 * x^1/2 (hard to tell with the notation)
but if you meant
y=3e^x + 4/3 * x^-1/2 then what Michael outlined above is correct:)

It's difficult for students to type the mathematical expression clearly on a computer than it is to write it on paper.  I always encourage students to use parenthesis and brackets to prevent mis-interpretation of such mathematical expressions and to prevent mixed answers that might not be correct.
