How do you simplify this expression?

why did it become 255/15? ... after you subtracted the two fractions

 16/1 - 1/16 = (16*16 -1)/16 = (256-1)/16= 255/16
 
 you take the least common denominator of (1,16).
 
   I see that lot of people have problem with fractions.
    You can only add and subtract the fractions with same denominator. So, first have to make them all with the same denominator. Make the denominator all LCM, and then multiply numerator and denominator each by the same number, and then add or subtract together.
