Calculus Question Find the derivative of each function.

The process that Jon used to find the derivative of this complex function was the chain rule.  You use this process when you derive a function within a function.  In this case, we have 2 functions.
 
The inner function is cos(x2 - 1).  The outer function is cos4(x).   
 
However, you must first evaluate (x2 - 1).  Then find the cosine of that result.  Then raise it to the 4th power.
