If you are asking to find the derivative of y = (6x4 - 5x + 2)3/8, you need to use the chain rule.  Here is the process:

Bring down the exponent so that it becomes a multiplier, copy the entire function as is and reduce the exponent by 1.  Then multiply by the derivative of the function in parentheses:

y' = 3/8(6x- 5x + 2)3/8 - 1 (24x- 5)

Simplify:
y' = 3/8(24x- 5)(6x4 - 5x + 2)-5/8

This should be your answer, although it could be written to eliminate the negative exponent
