You have 1/x on both terms. Take it out as common factor and you will have:
1/x(1/2 +1/3)
now multiply 1/2 by 3/3 and 1/3 by 2/2 so that you end up with having same denominator
1/x(1/2(3/3) + 1/3(2/2)
1/x(3/6 + 2/6)
now add 3/6 and 2/6. because they have same denominator you just add the numerator
1/x(5/6) or 5/6x > -10
multiply both sides by 6x and you get:
5>-60x
divide both sides by -60 and do not forget to revers the sign here because you are multiplying a negative
1/12<x, or
x>1/12
