Distribute the -3 to whats in the parenthesis only.
You can pull out each part in the parenthesis to make it easier.
-3(6n) and -3(-6) *Note Don't forget about the subtraction sign, It goes with the 6!
=-18n and =18 (negative times negative=Positive!)
So were left with
-18n+18+2n.
Combine like terms, the terms that have the same variable can be combined, -18n and 2n, add them together.
You're left with -16n+18. This is simplified, since the 18 does not have the same variable (in fact, no variable), it cannot be combined.
