I'll assume you want to find "g of f"(x) and that f(x) = √(x2 + 1). For "g of f"(x), just plug f(x) = √(x2 + 1) into g(x) everywhere you see an x:
(g•f)(x) = g(f(x)) = 2(f(x)) + 1 = 2√(x2 + 1) + 1
