Given the volume of a cylinder V = pi(r2)h we simply plug in the numbers
The radius is half the diameter so r = 4cm
the height h is given as 12 cm
V = 3(42)(12) = 3(16)(12) = 576 cm3
Note: Generally we would use 3.14 as the rounded value of pi.
