The slope of a line is its rise over run (or rise/run)
We can find a slope of a line using two points by using the following formula:
m = (y2- y1) / (x2 - x1), as the y values of a line are our rise and the x values are our runs. So we put them into the formula, but remember which is our two and which is our one.
Point A will be our point 1 (x1 = 3, y1 = -6), and Point B will be our point 2 (x2 = 6, y2 = -15)
So we put them into our formula:
m = (-15 - (-6)) / (6 - 3)
m = (-15 + 6) / (6 - 3)
m = -9 / 3
m = -3 / 1
m = -3
And so the slope of this line is -3.
