Looking for ADHD tutor to help my son study for the driver's learning permit

Do you have any tutors who could support my son? I'm not sure how to search for this kind of tutor.

I'm specifically asking about help studying for his learner's permit in VA. You could find it online, but I'm thinking about 2 - 3, 90-minute sessions. You'd need to walk him through online. Can you say more about how you might support him? The main issue is focus and getting started.

Hi Vernice! I'd be happy to help your son prep for his Virginia learner’s permit exam. Since focus and getting started are the main challenges, I’d make sure our sessions are structured, engaging, and interactive—breaking things down into small, manageable steps so it doesn’t feel overwhelming. We’d go through the study material together, using practice tests, discussion-based learning, and simple strategies to stay focused. I’ll also help him build a plan that keeps him on track and confident for the exam. Before we start, I offer a quick questionnaire and free consultation to tailor the sessions to his needs. Let me know if you'd like to set that up!

Hi Ryan. I'm thinking next Saturday and Sunday (90 minutes each) and then the following Saturday morning for a scheduled permit session at 11am or noon. Would that work for you? Can you propose some times that might work? From there, I'll lock in an appointment. Thank you!

Hi Vernice, That schedule sounds great! Before locking in the sessions, I’d like to do a quick questionnaire to get a better idea of your son's experience with the learner’s permit test—whether he’s taken it before, any areas he finds challenging, and how he learns best. This will help us structure the sessions in the most effective way. Given the focus and attention span needed, I’d recommend either: Two 90-minute sessions as originally planned, or Three 60-minute sessions, which can help with retention and focus. One option could be doing the first session soon, then waiting a few days to a week before the second, so he has time to practice. That way, we can target any sticking points more effectively in the second session, using practice tests and strategies to maximize his confidence before the exam. To move forward, please message me directly on Wyzant (outside the questions section) or email me so I can send over the quick questionnaire and finalize the schedule. Looking forward to working with you both! Best, Ryan
