Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
2s + 3.5b = 225
b = 2s
2s +3.5(2s) = 2s +7s = 9s = 225
s = 225/9 = 25 strawberries
b = 2s = 2(25) = 50 blue berries

Let x equal the number of pounds of strawberries that were sold. We are told that twice as many blueberries as strawberries were sold, so 2x equals the number of pounds of blueberries that were sold.
We are told that strawberries cost $2 per pound and blueberries cost $3.50 per pound. We are also told that total sales equal $225.
Therefore, 2.00x + 3.50 (2x) = 225.00
2x +7x = 225
9x = 225
x = 25
So 25 pounds of strawberries were sold and 50 pounds of blueberries were sold.
To check our answer:
2.00(25) + 3.50(50) = 50.00 + 175.00 = 225.00 and our answer is correct.
