The square root of x can be written as x1/2 in exponential form.
The fourth root of x can be written as x1/4.
x1/2 * x1/4 = x1/2+1/4 = x2/4+1/4 = x3/4
We use exponent rules. When multiplying two numbers with same base, you add the exponents.
To add 1/2 and 1/4 you need a common denominator (1/2 is equivalent to 2/4).
Then add and you're done! :)
