I'm struggling with a question

Madison determined that the function f (x) = 3x +2/4 represents the cost of texting on her current cell phone plan, where represents the number of texts. She discovers that using the inverse function to solve for x = 36 , she can predict the how many texts she can use for $36. Explain to Madison how to accomplish this, using complete sentences. You may show any algebraic work necessary to support your explanation.

I got 108.05 after my calculations, but I have a feeling that I'm wrong. Can someone give their insight on this?

Mark M.

Use grouping symbols to define f(x). Proof your post for accuracy.

I agree with Mark M above and I’d like to add if you get an answer you can check your value by plugging back into to the original function to see if it returns 36.
