By completing the square, how many teams are in a league? (Full question in description.)

The number of baseball games that must be scheduled in a league with n teams is given by G(n)=(n2 -n)/2, where each team plays every other team exactly once. A league schedules 28 games. By completing the square, how many teams are in the league?

Hi, this doesn't affect the answer, but when you add 1/2 to both sides, the negative answer should be -15/2 + 1/2 = -14/2 = -7. This makes sense since factoring would have given (n - 8)(n + 7).
