The easiest way to solve these problems is to get all of the "z" values on one side.
0.3z - 0.07 = 0.08z
Subtract 0.08z from both sides.
0.3z - 0.07 - 0.08z = 0.08z - 0.08z
0.3z - 0.07 - 0.08z = 0
Add 0.07 to both sides.
0.3z - 0.08z = 0.07
Combine all the "z" terms.
0.22z = 0.07
Divide both sides by 0.22.
0.22z ÷ 0.22 = 0.07 ÷ 0.22
z = 0.318
