Dear Jason,
Due to the nature of your question, I will make some assumptions about it, and you can let me know if it does not line up with what the actual question is focusing on. But, I shall assume that the way this question works is that you have an initial investment of $10,000, and you get 2% of that initial investment each week. So I shall propose a potential start to this problem under these assumptions.
Consider the start of the question there, and let us set up two variables x and y, where x is the number of weeks and y is the amount we make in total. Then from the initial set up there we can create an equation to model the beginnings of our business. Since we are taking a 2% profit from our initial $10,000 investment we can say our profit over time is
y = 0.02(10,000)x - 10,0000
Now from there we should be able to get the total amount of money we earn over the 52 weeks (with our initial deposit). Now using this same idea do you think you could figure out the next equation we need to model how we split up that money?
Best of luck!
Sincerely,
Landon Holley
P.S. I do understand this problem was posted a while ago and you may not be needing help with the answer by now.
